We used LEED principles, and all materials are locally sourced. A living roof is planted with fire resistant plants such as succulents and serge, and the floors are local mesquite and are shown radiating out from a center point is to enhance the concept of Council.
The Ojai Foundation is a 36-acre educational nonprofit located in the Upper Ojai Valley. The building like the Foundation, enhances ways to deepen the relationship with self, each other, and the natural world. Council, the practice of listening and speaking from the heart, is the foundational offering and core of the architecture and interior design.
