In this era of modern design, it was a fun and pleasurable experience to go over the top Colonial in Northern California. We centered the color scheme and rooms on three substantial art purchases and used elegant, clean sculptural furnishings throughout. The sleeping porch was transformed into a reading room and the house took on a charm that was both innovative and charming all at once.
The dining room luster is attained by the use of historic gold silk wall covering in that shimmers in the light. The dining set, sideboard and other antiques are family heirlooms. We mixed it up with over-the-top wavy coffee and tables with a nod to the Queen Anne style. We purchased antiques to fill in, a beautiful large carpet and original art for a stunning effect.
